Overheard...

Photographer: Ankita Chowhan, Class: Std IV, Government Primary School, Sheopur
Date: June 3rd, 2008, Location: Chambal River

"There's something very different about this picture. Something that's invisible to the common eye. Look closely, focus and then you can feel the movement of the objects plying on the bridge and objects living in the water. Buses, motorcycles, autorickshaws, fishes in the river they are all there.......Yes. They are there where they ideally should be.
Okay, before you start fretting why you can't see them, let me tell you that they are all invisible because....
.....
it's becoz....
.....
....mmmm.................I actually never shot them!!! *geeeee* I just wanted the bridge in isolation. And there it is, in its solitary splendour posing just for me."

Overheard by the blog writer during luncheon conversation between Ankita and her group.

To become an architect in the process of the nation building the right to express oneself is very important. Express what you feel should be a modern day tagline for the youth. The right to express one self gives a citizen enough self confidence which he/she can energize for a better tomorrow. Innocence covers a child, this innocent child seesvarious images in an around his/her daily life which needs a platform to execute and Naandi is providing the children all around an opportunity to express themselves through a visual medium. To capture their happy and sad moments of life, their dreams, their colours, thevisual medium will enhance the hidden creativity. An empowerment in a Kodak moment -isn't a great idea? , a creation will be born with everychild's click of the camera. Let us all support this new idea of empowerment through freedom of expression, let us all help a child tounderstand the rainbow of life.
